passion

if you were a superhero, which is more important? saving the life or the recognition for doing so?

shouldnt we ask ourselves, are we doing what we really want? people say you have to be realistic in life, you have to get a good job. Then again, is the so called 'best job', known as a very high paid job, really the best job? so we study just to get good results? thats not the main purpose of education. its primary aim is to get people to learn, and most importantly learn how to learn, learn how to kope with stress, it is to impart knowledge, life long learning. which is why i can still rmb more things from o levels than some high scoring people now.

looking at it at a smaller perspective. Reflect on activities your doing in schools, CCAs, service, cip, etc.. ask yourself what are you doing it for and if your answer is to put it in my T3A. good job. don't we all seek the so called happiness everyone talks about. if so then T3A should never be primary, it shld be secondary or if not tertiary. what's most important is choosing a path that you have full passion for, something that you will enjoy doing, regardless of its reputation, status or recognition. That is true meaning, that is true happiness. And i can proudly say T3A didnt even cross my mind a lil during the entire process of my running for house comm, i just joined something i loved doing. and same to for floorball.

just wait and see, who will live an overall happier life. The one who works 16hrs a day doing something hes neutral with but gets tons of money, or the one who works 8hrs a day doing what he is passionate at, and gets just a mere reasonable income to support a comfortable family of 4.
